I just returned from my second SQLBits, this time in Liverpool, and I have to say it is a really great conference. Everything can be improved, but I have to say that it’s hard to find a conference where you can have more networking opportunities than SQLBits. It has a very good mix of technical sessions, parties, friendly environment and number of attendees, sponsors and speakers. It is neither too small nor too large.

Now it is time to prepare for the biggest annual conference about SQL Server: the PASS Summit 2011 will be in Seattle next week, and I’ll be around all the week. I have a session on Friday, Vertipaq vs OLAP: Change Your Data Modeling Approach and the same day, at lunch, I and Alberto will be at the Birds of a Feather lunch talking about DAX, Vertipaq And BISM.

I look forward to meet you – feel free to send me a message or an email in case you would like to say Hello and cannot attend one of these two “programmed events” inside the conference.
