HP and Microsoft announced an appliance for PowerPivot. This is very interesting and might solve the issue of PowerPivot adoption in certain companies (where the problem is the support required for installing and maintaining SharePoint 2010).

I’d like to know what is the final price of such a solution: in fact, the press release from HP only talk about hardware cost (less than 28,000$) but that cost doesn’t include licenses for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft SharePoint 2010. In my opinion, one of the advantages of an appliance should be an “all-inclusive” price with a strong discount also on licenses cost.
I would like to know the final “all-inclusive” street price.
