I started using SQL Search (a free product from RedGate) several weeks ago, while it was still in beta. Now that the product has been released and is freely downloadable, I can say it has being really useful since the first beta. My common need is to look for the use of a column in every table, view, stored procedure and UDF… And this tool save me the time of generating the script and making a text search – not mentioning that I can restrict the scope of a search and there is also an integration with Object Explorer to select an object found in the search.
Considering that the tool is free, it has the better possible ROI!
