Introducing DAX Video Course
This is an introductory video course about the DAX language. DAX is the native language of Power BI, Power Pivot for Excel, and SSAS Tabular models in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. The training is aimed at users of Power BI, Power Pivot for Excel, and at Analysis Services developers that want to move the first steps with DAX.
The goal is to teach the DAX language using Power BI for all the examples. You can download the initial Power BI Desktop file used in the demos and repeat all the steps shown in the videos. The same concepts can be used also on Power Pivot and on Analysis Services Tabular. The course is made of 150 minutes of lectures. You can watch the videos at anytime and the system will keep track of your advances. Within the course you can download the slides and the initial Power BI file used in the demos.

It is excellent course specially for those who don't have an IT background. This video course helps in enhancing understanding although i have the latest book The Definitive Guide to DAX written by these two guys however their effort in bringing the basic video course for free is much appreciated.

I’ve completed other courses that covered the basics of DAX but this has the best explanation of context transition that I have come across. I wish that I had taken this course first.

Excellent introduction into DAX. For future courses have the slide content more easily readable. Some of the slide contents and screen displays weren't fully displayed throughout some of the videos. I was able to obtain the full content by pausing & refreshing. The interaction was very important as it provided perspectives on various ways to do things in DAX.

Erst hatte ich Bedenken, ob ich dem englischen Vortrag werde folgen können. Das ging erstaunlich gut, und wenn es mal hakte, konnte ich den Teil ja mehrfach ansehen. Danke, jetzt habe ich endlich die Dax-Grundlagen verstanden.
