Chris Webb shows an amazing example of integration between Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and Power BI. You can use ADX as a DirectQuery source in Power BI. Dynamic M parameters can execute a proximity query (in this example, stores within a given radius from a reference point) relying on the KQL language, something that would be impossible by importing data. This is a great example of a scenario where DirectQuery comes in handy!
