The new format pane in Power BI Desktop is in preview and must be enabled in the preview options. The feature is promising, but not ready for production. Invest some time in testing it and provide feedback to Microsoft. We have seen complaints about missing features and reduced productivity for certain operations, but overall the direction is correct.

You can now impersonate users by using EffectiveUserName in the connection string to an XMLA endpoint in Power BI Premium. This is a feature that has always been available in Analysis Services (both on premises and on Azure), and it was a reason that prevented the migration to Power BI.

Another feature that is import to enable migration from Analysis Services: you can now control settings such as MaxIntermediateRowsetSize, which is called Max Intermediate Row Count in Power BI capacity settings. This is important for DirectQuery. Only available in Power BI Premium Capacity, not in Power BI Premium Per User.
